Gandhinagar: Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel said Gujarat was seeking to position itself as a long-term strategic partner for global technology companies rather than merely an investment destination.On the second day of his US visit, Patel and a state delegation held round-table discussions and one-to-one meetings with more than 100 leaders from the semiconductor and technology sectors, besides separate interactions with companies in AI, EdTech, health-tech, gaming and deep-tech.An official statement said Patel invited global companies to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 and explore collaboration opportunities through business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-govt (B2G) meetings.Quoting the CM, an official statement said, “The success of a next-generation technology hub will depend not only on innovation but also on the availability of land, electricity, connectivity, capital, talent and policy stability. Gujarat is ready to provide these facilities to technology-led investments.”The delegation also held round-table discussions with leaders from the AI, health-tech, edtech and gaming sectors with focus on opportunities emerging in generative AI, robotics, education, healthcare technology and gaming.The statement added that gaming also emerged as an area of discussion, with Patel and industry leaders examining opportunities arising from the sector’s expansion. The proposed Commonwealth Games in Gujarat were also discussed in the context of building a stronger gaming and technology ecosystem through supportive policies, innovation and greater industry participation.
