Guwahati: A 16-year-old kabaddi player was killed and two others were seriously injured after a speeding commercial vehicle allegedly hit them near the Sarusajai Sports Complex on Monday, police said.The accident occurred around 7pm as the three players were crossing the highway in front of the complex.The deceased was identified as Vaishnavi Kumari, a resident of Amingaon. She died on the spot.The injured players, 17-year-old Manisha Ray of Kamakhya Gate and 18-year-old Bhagmoni Basfor of Maligaon, are undergoing treatment at Nemcare Hospital and Central Hospital, Maligaon, respectively.Basistha police seized the vehicle and launched a search for the driver, who fled after the accident.
