Hyderabad: A bike that was reportedly stolen from Bachupally a year ago was recovered during a routine traffic enforcement drive conducted by the Cyberabad traffic police near Labour Adda at Hafeezpet flyover on Sunday. At around 11.30 am, personnel from the Gachibowli traffic police station intercepted the bike during vehicle-checking drive. Verification revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen in a case registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS at the Bachupally police station.The bike and its rider were immediately handed over to the Bachupally police crime team for further investigation. Bachupally Inspector P Dali Naidu said, “The man found with the bike was not the person who stole it. It was stolen by another individual, who later sold it to a mechanic, from whom the present rider purchased it. No case has been registered against the rider.” Police said an FIR had already been registered and efforts were on to trace the main accused.
