Advocate alleges masked man in Bengaluru flashed at her

Bengaluru: A 38-year-old advocate has alleged that a masked man flashed at her while she was walking her pet dog on the morning of April 20 in Sadanandanagar in east Bengaluru.According to the complaint filed by the woman, a resident of Sadanandanagar who practises at the high court, she was walking her dog on 2nd Cross, 7th Main, Sadanandanagar, when she noticed a man, wearing a mask and grey T-shirt and seated on a scooter, staring at her. She passed by him and as she turned back to look, the man unzipped his pants and flashed at her. She immediately raised an alarm, and the man fled on his scooter, which the woman recalled as having registration number KA-51-LJ-8000.Police at Byappanahalli police station filed a case under BNS Sections 75 (sexual harassment), 79 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 292 (punishment for public nuisance in cases not otherwise provided for), and 296 (obscene acts and songs).An officer said the woman stated that the man was wearing a mask. “There was no CCTV camera at the spot. We have analysed footage from surrounding areas and have traced the scooterist’s movement. Efforts are on to trace the accused,” the officer said.MSID:: 130442975 413 |
