Hyderabad: Nine flights scheduled to land at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, were diverted to alternate airports on Friday night due to adverse weather conditions caused by heavy rainfall.Of the diverted flights, six were rerouted to Bengaluru, two to Chennai, and one to Nagpur. The affected services were arriving from various destinations, including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Nanded, Bengaluru, and Singapore.In a travel advisory, RGIA urged passengers to stay updated on prevailing weather conditions across Telangana and plan their journeys to the airport accordingly. “To ensure a hassle-free journey, please check the latest flight status with your airline and factor in additional time for travel due to possible delays,” RGIA told passengers.
