Jaipur: Three men, including a gas agency operator, were arrested, Tuesday in a joint operation by Jaipur South police and the Food and Civil Supplies Department for allegedly black-marketing domestic LPG cylinders in the Sodala area.The accused were identified as Kuldeep Yogi (24) of Tonk, Suresh Yogi (36) of Mozmabad in Jaipur, and Veni Gopal (60) of Arai in Ajmer, who operates a gas agency. DCP (Jaipur South) Rajrishi Raj Varma said the action followed complaints of illegal refilling and sale of domestic cylinders in residential localities.Acting on a tip-off, enforcement officer Kavita Sharma and a police team led by SI Jaikumar raided a vacant plot in Jamna Nagar Extension, Sushilpura. A Bolero pickup bearing HP Gas markings was found carrying 48 sealed domestic cylinders, while 49 more domestic and two commercial cylinders were recovered from the site. Two motorcycles used for distribution were also seized.During questioning, Kuldeep Yogi allegedly admitted running the operation with his brother-in-law Suresh Yogi, supplying cylinders across Jaipur. Police said initial claims about sourcing cylinders from Manoharpur HP Gas Service were false, with technical and financial evidence linking supplies to Shree Krishna HP Gas Service in Arai.Veni Gopal was arrested for allegedly supplying cylinders without proper booking for the past two to three months.
