Ambala: Barely 30 hours after a stray bull attacked a schoolgirl in Lal Kurti, a stray animal knocked down a 70-year-old woman in Babyal’s Ravidas Mohalla on Tuesday, leaving her with fractures in her hand and feet.The woman, Krishna, was attacked shortly after stepping out of her house. The animal’s horn allegedly caught her leg, causing her to fall heavily on the road.Her family took her to a hospital, where doctors advised surgery after X-rays showed fractures.The back-to-back attacks have angered residents, who have demanded immediate action against stray cattle in residential areas, including their capture and shifting to gaushalas.Ambala Sadar Municipal Council executive officer Devender Narwal said gaushala managers had told the civic body they lacked space for more cattle.“A meeting was held with gaushala managers of the municipal area after Monday’s incident. They have told that they are short of space in the gaushalas to accommodate more stray cattle, but we have asked them to make space available in their facilities,” he said.
