Gurgaon: A 16-month-old girl died after allegedly falling into a bucket filled with water in the bathroom of her home while playing on Sunday in IMT Manesar. Her father was away at work at a factory when the incident took place.The deceased was identified as Pinky, aged one year and four months. Her family is originally from Sarwan village in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district and had been living in the city for around five months. Her father works at a factory. Pinky was the youngest of three children in the family.According to police, the toddler was playing at home when she wandered into the bathroom, where a bucket filled with water had been kept. She is suspected to have leaned over the bucket or tried to play with the water before falling into it. When family members spotted her, her head was submerged in the water and her legs were pointing upwards.The family immediately pulled her out and rushed her to a hospital, but doctors could not save her. She died during treatment.Police said they were informed about the incident and sent the child’s body for postmortem examination. Further details about the circumstances of the incident are being ascertained. Cops from IMT Manesar police station denied any suspicion.
