The sea is our real and greatest wealth. Approval has been granted for the Karnataka Marine Biotechnology Policy, under which steps have been taken to establish the Karnataka Institution of Marine Technology and Blue Economy at the Govt Fisheries College, and a decision has also been taken to increase the student strength of the Fisheries College from 60 to 200,” he announced.Although Tulu Nadu is a major part of the culture, Udupi’s contribution to the great tradition of Kannada is immense, he said. “It is truly very saddening and painful that attempts are being made to sow poison among the people in a land with such a grand heritage,” the civil supplies minister said.
