Lucknow/New Delhi: Assuring Japanese business leaders of hands-on govt support, CM Yogi Adityanath said UP will act on investors’ concerns and ensure that companies do not face unnecessary hurdles at any stage of setting up or expanding operations.Speaking at a roundtable meeting with CEOs and senior business leaders organised as part of the UP-Japan Investment Meet, Yogi said: “Govt was open to suggestions from investors and would take necessary steps to address practical issues raised by them.”He said the “360-degree transformation” in UP over the past nine years had turned the state into a leading investment destination, with improvements in law and order, infrastructure, connectivity, skilled manpower and ease of doing business.“Govt does not believe in merely making announcements. What we say, we implement on the ground,” Yogi said, pointing to the changes witnessed in the state over the past nine years.CM said UP was strengthening its workforce and skill-development ecosystem in line with the changing requirements of industry. The state’s large young workforce, coupled with skilling and upskilling initiatives, would help provide investors with trained and industry-ready manpower, he said.He also assured investors that govt would provide support within the framework of its policies and work to make the investment process simple, transparent and time-bound.Yogi said the roundtable provided an opportunity for govt to understand the expectations and requirements of industry directly, while giving investors greater clarity on the opportunities and facilities available in UP.He urged Japanese companies to expand their industrial and business operations in the state, saying govt and its entire team would stand with investors and ensure effective resolution of any problems they faced.CM expressed confidence that growing interest among major Japanese companies would translate into fresh investment, employment and increased economic activity in Uttar Pradesh.
