Noida: As plans to develop a multi-modal logistics hub and industrial node around Noida International Airport pick up, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) said it will build a Rs 4.5 crore entry gate on a 60-metre-wide road along Yamuna Expressway near Murshadpur village in Sector 27, about 7km from Pari Chowk.Authority’s deputy director (horticulture) Anand Mohan Singh said the process to hire a consultant responsible for conducting a detailed site survey and preparing design concepts covering architectural plans, lighting, landscaping and day-and-night visualisations has begun. The final design will incorporate road safety features, intelligent lighting and landscaping, besides metal sculptures.The gateway is intended to represent the identity and vision of Authority. Officials said the region had been witnessing rapid industrial and infrastructure development since flight operations began from Noida International Airport. At its recent board meeting, Authority reviewed the progress of industrial plots measuring more than 4,000 sqm. Of 295 such plots, lease deeds have been executed for 181, possession has been given for 152, and construction has started on 69. Production has commenced at 13 units.In Sector 28’s Medical Device Park, 123 of the 203 plots have been allotted, while possession has been given for 75 plots and construction has started on 28. In neighbouring Sector 29, 159 plots have been allotted in the Apparel Park, while 503 plots have been allotted in the MSME Park and 188 in the Handicraft Park.The last date for submitting bids for the gateway project is Oct 21, while the bids will be opened on Oct 23. The consultant will be selected through a quality-cum-cost-based system, with 80% weightage given to technical evaluation and 20% to the financial bid.
