Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will create a dedicated corpus fund to finance the short-term repair and maintenance of basic infrastructure across its notified area. The launch of commercial flight operations from Noida International Airport on June 15 is expected to significantly accelerate industrial, commercial and residential activity along the Yamuna Expressway corridor, making sustained infrastructure upkeep a pressing concern for the Authority. The fund is expected to cover recurring expenditure on drinking water supply systems, roads, drains, sewerage networks, electricity infrastructure, parks and other public amenities — costs the Authority expects to rise steadily as development activity intensifies.“This expenditure will continue to increase with ongoing development. We have decided to create a corpus fund to ensure the long-term sustainability of repair and maintenance works,” said YEIDA CEO RK Singh. The corpus will draw primarily from lease rent, purchasable FAR, transfer charges, restoration charges, extension charges, plan processing fees and other revenue streams. A dedicated account will be opened with the State Bank of India for the purpose. The corpus fund is estimated at Rs 25 crore annually at the outset, scaling to Rs 150–200 crore over a decade as development activity grows. The decision was taken at YEIDA’s 90th Board meeting on Monday, chaired by additional chief secretary (infrastructure and industrial development department) Alok Kumar. The Authority also told the board that its capital receipts grew 43% year-on-year to Rs 745.9 crore in the April-May period of 2026-27, against Rs 522.4 crore in the corresponding period of 2025-26.While reviewing the industrial property allotments, the board noted that of 3,175 industrial plots allotted so far, lease deeds have been executed for 2,495. Across specialised parks, including apparel, toy, MSME and medical devices, the Authority has developed 1,236 plots, of which 1,122 have been allotted, 771 have lease deeds, 206 have sanctioned building maps and 92 have received completion certificates. The Authority allotted 78 plots in 2025-26 and a further 59 in the opening months of 2026-27.The board also approved the hiring of an NGO to manage its cow shelter at Faleda Bangar village.
