Pune: Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) has started the online admission process for the 2026–27 academic year for 135 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes across 13 faculties, a statement said.The admission process began on July 1, and students can complete it before July 31. It covers all programmes except the BEd and Special BEd courses.Under the new University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations, students can now pursue an additional degree through distance education while studying for a regular degree. They can also enrol for two degree programmes simultaneously at YCMOU.The university offers a mix of traditional, new-age and professional programmes. These include courses in computer science, science and information technology, drone technology, automobile technology, shipping management, media graphics, theatre studies, Hindustani classical music, Pali, cybercrime investigation, cooperative management, data analytics, IBM certificate programmes, digital photography, farmer producer company management, dog handling and awareness, solar and wind energy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and ethical hacking, cloud computing, value education, Indian knowledge systems, and yoga teacher training.More information about admissions is available on the university’s official website.
