Gurgaon: A 32-year-old woman was found dead inside a residential complex in Sector 81 Monday evening, Kherki Daula police said. The deceased was identified as Nisha, a native of Palwal, who had been living alone in the complex.A police officer said Nisha had been living separately from her husband for the past several years following a dispute between the couple. The couple did not live together, the officer said.Police were alerted about the incident and reached the residential complex. No suicide note was found from the spot, the officer said.Nisha worked at a beauty parlour in Gurgaon, police said. Her body was sent for postmortem examination and was later handed over to her family.“As per preliminary inquiry, she appears to have died due to hanging. The postmortem report is awaited to establish the exact cause of death,” the officer said.Police said they were examining the circumstances leading to her death. Statements of people acquainted with Nisha and other relevant information are also being gathered as part of the inquiry.The exact circumstances surrounding the death will be established after the postmortem report and completion of the investigation, police said.In another case of suicide, a worker at the hotel noticed a foul smell coming from the washroom and alerted Badshahpur police. A call was received around 11 am about a man being found hanging inside the washroom, an officer said.However, according to sources, the man has been identified as Mansukh (19), a native of Bihar. “We are yet to confirm the identity; this is based on the mobile phone recovered from him. His brother will be coming to the city to confirm the identification,” a source said.The washroom was located behind Galaxy hotel and was not frequently used, police said. This delayed the discovery of the body, which had started decomposing by the time officers reached the spot.Police examined CCTV footage from the hotel and found that the man had entered the premises around midnight on Sept 18. Based on the condition of the body, investigators suspect he may have died two to three days before the corpse was discovered.The body has been shifted to the mortuary for preservation and further proceedings. Police are checking CCTV footage and other available information to identify the man and trace his family.
