Varanasi: Accompanied by her family members, a postal department employee attacked her former colleague over an old dispute inside a post office in Revati area on May 5. The video of Chhaya Pathak and her family members attacking Abhishek Kumar Sinha went viral on social media. Pathak is currently posted at Gai Ghat sub-post office.Ballia CO (Bansdih) Jaishankar Mishra on Saturday said that on the complaint of Sinha, Revati police on May 5 lodged a named FIR against Chhaya Pathak and her accomplices on charges of attempt to murder, criminal intimidation, intentional insult, hurt caused to public servant and obstructing govt work. Amid the investigation, Revati police arrested Abhishek Pandey, one of the accused. Police also recovered the stick with which Sinha was attacked. Two teams of police are carrying out raids at possible hideouts of Pathak and her other accomplices.Sinha, native of Nalanda, Bihar, is posted at Revati post office. He alleged in his complaint that Pathak, along with her family members, entered her post office during working hours. After preventing him from doing his official duty, they cited a past dispute and started beating him with intent to kill, alleged the complainant, adding that the assailants also issued threats of dire consequences before leaving.. After going through evidence during investigation, Revati police arrested Abhishek Pandey near Kushar Road.
