UPSTDC starts Krishna Leela tour package

Lucknow: The UP State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) on Monday launched a three-day ‘Krishna Leela’ tour package, linking Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul and Barsana as part of the ‘Visit My State’ campaign.The package, linked to Janmasthami, is aimed at families and small groups, offers guided sightseeing, accommodation, breakfast, refreshments and local transfers. The tour will depart from Lucknow at 8am and cover major religious and cultural landmarks across the Braj region.The itinerary includes Banke Bihari Temple, Rang Ji Temple, Nidhivan and Akshaya Patra Temple in Vrindavan on the first day. The second day covers Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadheesh Temple, Vishram Ghat, Bhuteshwar Temple and Govardhan. The final day includes Radha Rani Temple in Barsana and temples in Vrindavan before the return journey.Tourism minister Jaiveer Singh said the initiative was part of a larger effort to develop integrated tourism circuits rather than isolated destinations.“Our focus is to make UP’s cultural and spiritual heritage more accessible while creating curated travel experiences that connect destinations, improve visitor convenience and encourage travellers to explore beyond individual pilgrimage centres,” he said. Singh said Mathura recorded over 1,0.24 crore tourists in 2025, while nearly 1.90 crore visitors arrived in the first three months of 2026.
