UP govt’s free coaching classes for JEE, NEET to start next month

Noida: Students preparing for UPSC, UPPSC, PCS-J, NEET and JEE can apply for free coaching under UP govt’s Abhyudaya scheme. In Noida, registrations will remain open from June 5 to 30, and entrance tests will be held between July 1 and 7. In Ghaziabad, applications for free IAS-PCS coaching are open till June 15, and classes will start on July 1.GB Nagar’s district social welfare officer Satish Kumar said results of the entrance test will be declared by July 11 and classes are scheduled to commence on July 15.According to officials, coaching for UPSC, NEET and JEE will be conducted at Mihir Bhoj Boys’ Inter College in Dadri, while UPSC and UPPSC classes will be held at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Library in Sector 37, Noida. NEET and JEE coaching is also proposed at Panchsheel Boys’ Inter College in Sector 93, while PCS-J classes are planned at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida.The district administration has also invited applications from guest lecturers and subject experts for the programme. Faculty members will be empanelled for subjects ranging from polity, economy, geography, ethics and current affairs for civil services preparation, to physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany and zoology for engineering and medical entrance examinations.Officials said preference would be given to university and govt college teachers, as well as candidates who have cleared advanced stages of civil services examinations. Selected experts will receive an honorarium of Rs 2,000 per 90-minute lecture. Applications from eligible subject experts can be submitted by June 15.In Ghaziabad, social welfare officer Sandeep Chaudhary announced that applications for free IAS-PCS coaching under the scheme will be accepted till June 15. Coaching classes in the district are slated to begin on July 1.“Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the district social welfare office at Vikas Bhawan. Selection will be carried out through an entrance examination or interview,” an official said.The UP govt’s CM Abhyudaya Scheme aims to provide free coaching and academic support to students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds preparing for competitive and professional entrance examinations.
