LUCKNOW: A 10-year-old boy from Kushinagar’s Betia village reached the district magistrate’s office with his piggy bank to contribute to relief efforts for people affected by the floods in Nepal.Alfaz Sheikh, a resident of the Padrauna tehsil area, had been saving money in his piggy bank. After learning about the devastation caused by the floods in Nepal, he decided to donate his savings to help the affected people.Alfaz arrived at the district magistrate’s office along with his family and handed over the piggy bank to District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar. He requested the official to deposit the money into the relief fund so that it could be used to support people facing hardships in the aftermath of the disaster.The district magistrate appreciated Alfaz’s gesture and praised him for coming forward to help the flood victims.“I want my savings to be used to help people in need during this crisis,” said Alfaz Sheikh.
