Lucknow: A review meeting on preparations for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi programmes and the Madhe Sahaba procession was held at Islamic Centre of India, Eidgah Lucknow. The meeting was chaired by Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali, who called on people to participate in the events and said such gatherings help the younger generation understand the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad and learn about the virtues and sacrifices of his companions.Maulana Farangi Mahali said the historic Madhe Sahaba procession will commence at 9 am on Aug 26 from Aminabad Park. It will pass through the old city and conclude at Eidgah Aishbagh. He added that a major gathering focusing on Seerat-un-Nabi and Seerat-e-Sahaba will also be organised at Eidgah Lucknow, where special prayers will be offered for peace, harmony, unity, safety and the country’s development.He appealed to the public and participating organisations to strictly follow Islamic Centre’s Rabi-ul-Awwal advisory. He cautioned against raising any slogans that could hurt religious sentiments and stressed that the procession should adhere only to routes approved by the authorities. He also urged participants to avoid motorcycle stunts and to maintain unity, peace and law and order while observing the occasion with dignity.Other speakers echoed the appeal, urging organisations to follow scholars’ guidance and avoid activities that violate established rules, agreements or official instructions.
