Pune: A huge banyan tree fell on two women at Parvati, near Janata Vasahat on Friday evening. One of the women sustained serious injuries. Four vehicles, which were parked under the tree, were too damaged in the incident. City fire brigade personnel removed the vehicles trapped under the fallen tree and cleared the road, restoring traffic movement.According to the Swargate police, the injured woman (53), a resident of Janata Vasahat, has been admitted to a private hospital in Dhankawadi for the several back and head injuries. “She was walking on the road when the incident took place,” police said. “The other woman, who was walking on the road, sustained minor injuries and she returned home after primary treatment,” they said.
