They are forced to sell on the dirty roadside along the market approach roadResidents and local representatives have been demanding permanent repairs to this approach road. They said proper maintenance of this road is a must, as people regularly visit the market.Apart from waterlogging, residents are also affected by the accumulation of plastic waste along the roadside.Former chairperson of the Canacona municipality, Rangraj Gaonkar, said that the area near the bus stand faces a stray-cattle menace, which causes traffic disruptions and risks to motorists.Vendors are selling outside the vegetable market due to lack of cleanliness, resulting in revenue loss for the council. Former Canacona municipality chairperson, Santosh Kalgo Gaonkar, said that authorities have neglected the issue of water stagnation in the market.
