Ghaziabad: Traffic police have announced diversions ahead of the Lord Ganesh idol immersion at Gang Nagar in Muradnagar. The restriction will be in force from 9am on Sept 23 to 9am on Sept 26. The move is aimed at easing congestion around the immersion route and ensuring smooth movement of devotees during the festival period.DCP (traffic) Trigun Bisen said that all residents, transporters and drivers must strictly follow the diversion plan to avoid inconvenience. Strict action will be taken against those in violation.Entry of all heavy commercial vehicles, including tractor-trolleys, trucks, DCMs and buses, coming from the Palwal side and heading towards Meerut via the Duhai exit will be completely prohibited during this period. Police said such vehicles should instead use the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) to reach Modinagar or Meerut.All commercial vehicles coming from Kondli side and proceeding towards Meerut via Duhai cut shall remain completely prohibited. These vehicles shall proceed towards Modinagar/Meerut using the DME. Commercial vehicles coming towards Muradnagar Gang Nahar from Qadrabad Border (Meerut) side will be diverted towards Raj Chaupala to Bhojpur, Hapur, or will have to move via DME. All heavy vehicles coming from the direction of Jani Border (Meerut) shall proceed towards their destination via Niwari and Raj Chaupala.Movement of medium commercial vehicles going from Muradnagar towards Gang Nahar will be prohibited and these vehicles will proceed towards their destination from Muradnagar via Rawli Road, Chungi Number 3, and using the Pipeline route.Entry of all heavy vehicles coming from Ghaziabad side and proceeding towards Muradnagar, Modinagar and Meerut shall remain completely prohibited. These vehicles shall proceed towards their destination via Hapur or by using the EPE or DME.
