Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre (TNSTC) in the city is organising a math and science talent test this year, open to students of Classes VI-IX from across boards.The test will be held on Oct 4 for math and Oct 11 for science. Each exam will have 100 questions without negative marking, and will be held offline at designated exam centres from 11am to 12.30pm.The math test will cover topics across arithmetic, logical reasoning, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio and proportion, mensuration, algebra, geometry, sequences and series, and data interpretation. The science test will have questions from core physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, everyday science, scientific applications, human/body science and other related areas.The top-scorer will be get a cash prize of ₹3,000, followed by ₹2,000 each for two students securing second place. Third place will be awarded to three students, who will get ₹1,000 each, and fourth place will be awarded to five students, with ₹500 each.Interested candidates can apply at https://tnstcmathtest.web.app/ on or before Sept 10 by paying a fee of ₹100 per exam.
