Ahmedabad: Three unidentified men allegedly attempted to break into five bungalows in Thaltej’s Triveni Park and adjoining Surdhara Society around 3am on Oct 31. The intruders tried to break the main door of a bungalow before fleeing after its occupant raised an alarm.In his complaint with Vastrapur police on Sunday, Triveni Park resident Karan Mehta (32) stated that he and his family were asleep when his wife heard sounds and woke him up. When he switched on the lights, he spotted two men trying to break open the bungalow’s entrance door. As he raised an alarm, the two fled towards Surdhara Bungalows. Mehta then noticed a third man jumping off the terrace of his house and running in the same direction.Society residents later learnt that the intruders had allegedly targeted four other houses in the neighbourhood.Locks of two other bungalows were broken. The intruders had entered the verandahs of two other houses. No valuables were reported stolen from any of the houses.
