3 held separately with 3 pistols and 11 cartridges in western suburbs
Mumbai: Three people were arrested from the western suburbs in separate cases of possessing weapons illegally. Police seized three pistols and 11 cartridges collectively from the trio, worth Rs 1.4 lakh.The first arrest was made by Kurar police from Malad tekdi area in Malad (E) on Sept 18. Wajid Ali Malik was apprehended with a pistol and two cartridges worth Rs 36,000 from Malad (E).In two separate instances, Dahisar police arrested Sandeep Upadhyaya (34), a fabrication worker from Dahisar (E) and Vanrai police arrested Rohit Sawant (37) from Goregaon (E). Two pistols and nine cartridges worth Rs 1 lakh collectively were seized from them.Three separate cases have been registered by the police under the provisions of Arms Act.
