Guwahati: Singer Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Saikia Garg on Tuesday said she has full faith in the prosecution team, adding that putting an accused behind the bars means that they have committed some crime.Garima’s statement comes days after accused Shymankanu Mahanta’s wife claimed that he has been lodged behind bars for the last seven months “for no fault”.On the other hand, the fast track court hearing the case has reserved the order in the bail plea of Zubeen’s manager Siddharth Sharma, who is also an accused in the singer’s death case, till May 2. The court will pronounce the judgment on the bail plea of Mahanta on Apr 30.Shyamkanu’s wife Anita Deka Mahanta had made the statement on Apr 22, adding that “The great soul of Zubeen will feel pain seeing this. We will get justice. Zubeen had trust in Shyamkanu.”Reacting to her statement, Garima, while speaking to the media outside the court, said, “If they have been put behind the bars, then they must have committed something. Our prosecution team is strong. We have faith in the prosecution team and we are optimistic of getting justice.”She added that Zubeen’s big mistake was that he believed and loved everyone. “Now, we have seen the faces and understood the mistake,” she added.
