Kalyan Baisla firmly rejects accusations that he intentionally collided with a female biker on Golf Course Road

GURGAON: Kalyan Baisla, accused in the Golf Course Road hit-and-run case, has denied deliberately hitting the woman biker, Siya, and claimed the collision occurred while he was trying to avoid a group of bikers.Speaking to the media, Kalyan said around 22-23 bikers were riding aggressively and repeatedly overtaking his car before slowing down in front of it.He said the woman rider suddenly turned while he was taking a U-turn, leaving him with little time to react.“She suddenly turned the vehicle without looking in the mirror. I could not control the vehicle, yet I tried very hard to avoid it,” he said.Baisla also denied fleeing after the collision. He said he had rolled down his window when the bikers stopped him at a red light and told them that he was not at fault.He further claimed that the video circulating on social media had been edited by joining separate clips.“They are playing the victim card,” he said.“I did not hit them deliberately,” Baisla said, maintaining that the collision was an accident.
