Ahmedabad: In the absence of rain and clouds, the temperature in the city increased slightly to 34 degrees celsius. The maximum temperature was 1.3 degrees higher than normal seasonal averages for this time of year. The minimum temperature at 26 degrees celsius was 1.1 degrees higher than normal, making conditions uncomfortable during night hours.The relative humidity (RH) remained between 56% and 78% in the city, contributing to sticky weather throughout the day.The meteorological department’s latest weather update has given some hopes for rain on Sept 12 and 13, with several regions of the state expected to receive light to heavy rainfall over the weekend. While parts of south Gujarat will face heavy rain, light to moderate rain and thunderous activity will be experienced in parts of north and central Gujarat districts, offering much-needed relief from the prevailing muggy conditions across the state.
