Hyderabad: Two days after OMR sheets of an old examination conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) were found on a roadside in the city, the commission suspended two section officers with immediate effect and filed an FIR against the contractor.Taking serious note of the lapse, the commission said it had also issued show-cause notices to four officials concerned.“Further, we have cancelled the work order, and an FIR has been lodged against the contractor for gross negligence in handling the entrusted material,” the commission added.The commission reiterated that the OMR answer sheets related to a recruitment process concluded several years ago and had already been identified for destruction.“The incident has no impact whatsoever on any ongoing or future recruitment process. The commission has initiated all necessary measures to ensure strict adherence to the prescribed procedures for the disposal of records and to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future,” it said.On Monday, TOI reported that OMR sheets of the Hostel Welfare Officers Recruitment, 2018, were found on the roadside near the PVNR Expressway. The commission initially did not file a police case but ordered an internal enquiry into the incident.
