Lucknow: A teenage boy narrowly escaped an alleged abduction attempt in the Alambagh area after biting one of the suspects and jumping off a moving motorcycle, police said. An FIR was registered on Sunday, six days after the incident.According to the complaint filed by the victim’s father, Pankaj Khatri, the incident occurred on the night of July 14 when the boy, Chirag, stepped out to have juice near Sanatan Dharma Mandir.The family alleged that two youths on a black Honda motorcycle approached Chirag and initiated a conversation. During the interaction, they allegedly asked his name, address and details about his family before leaving the area.A few minutes later, the duo reportedly returned and attempted to abduct him. The complaint stated that the suspects forcibly pulled Chirag onto the motorcycle and made him lie between them on the seat as they sped away.Chirag resisted and bit the pillion rider, the family alleged. The riders then slowed down, allowing him to jump off the moving motorcycle and flee. He ran to safety and returned home in a frightened state, the complaint said.After hearing his account, the family called the police emergency helpline at about 9:05 pm. Personnel from Dial-112 and local police reached the spot and collected information about the incident.Khatri alleged that despite the police arriving promptly, the formal case was registered only six days later. Police said they have now lodged an FIR for attempted abduction and begun an investigation.Authorities are checking available evidence and working to identify the two motorcycle-borne suspects.
