Kolkata: A software engineer from Sonarpur’s Baikunthapur has gone missing during a trip to Nepal, leaving her family worried.Lopamudra Kundu, who works with Infosys, had travelled to Nepal with 32 other tourists. Their tour was organised by Chalo Jai Travel Club. Kundu was one of the few youngsters in the group of tourists.Lopamudra, who is fond of travelling, left for Nepal with the group on Aug 21. She remained in touch with her family and spoke to them on Wednesday morning.According to her family, Lopamudra said the group was in an area close to China border with poor network connectivity. After reports of severe weather and disruption emerged, she told her family not to worry.However, there has been no communication with her since then.Her husband, Subhrajit Sinha Roy, a bank employee, said, “The last time I spoke to her was on Wednesday morning. There has been no contact since then” Lopamudra lives with her husband, parents and two children — a son and a daughter. The family is now trying to ascertain her whereabouts.
