Ghaziabad: A 40-year-old factory manager at a garment manufacturing unit was stabbed to death with tailoring scissors by a junior worker in Tronica City on Monday.The deceased, Anvesh Kumar, headed a team of tailors at the factory, in which the accused, Sarvesh Singh (30), used to work.Anvesh’s brother, who filed a complaint with police, alleged the incident occurred over insubordination by Sarvesh.“My brother worked in the factory for over 20 years and was always appreciated by the factory owner because he would be able to carry out whatever work was assigned to him with his team’s help,” Anvesh’s brother said.He said Sarvesh held a grudge against his brother and did not want to take orders from him. “A few days ago, Sarvesh refused to take orders from him and threatened to kill him in front of another labourer,” he added.The murder was discovered by another family member of Anvesh, who had gone to meet at the factory.“Sarvesh was coming out of the factory with the scissors and blood on his hand when the family member saw him. When asked why his hands were stained with blood, Sarvesh said he had injured himself with the scissors. After discovering Anvesh’s body, the family member tried to chase Sarvesh but the security guard told him he had already left,” the complaint mentioned.DCP (rural) Surendranath Tiwari said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused under Section 103 (murder) of BNS. “The accused was arrested from his rented house in Tronica City,” he said.Police found the accused had stabbed Anvesh with the scissors multiple times on his neck, abdomen and other parts of his body in “a fit of rage”. During questioning, the accused admitted that he had murdered Anvesh. He said Anvesh had assigned him extra work, which led to a heated argument between them and in a fit of anger, he attacked him with the scissors.
