Bathinda: The Punjab Students Union (PSU) and the Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS) alleged irregularities in past appointments at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) and handed the registrar a memorandum regarding these issues.Both these organisations held a morcha for a week after an alleged hi-tech cheating racket was busted during the pharmacy officers’ recruitment examination conducted by the BFUHS on July 19.“We have found irregularities in various past recruitments, from helpers and drivers to engineering staff and associate professors. We are gathering more details from various sources and through the RTI. We have handed over the list of all irregularities detected so far to the university registrar. He assured us he would look into the complaints,” said Harveer Kaur, PSU state committee member.Earlier, the vigilance bureau had probed complaints of irregularities in appointments, the PSU and the NBS said.BFUHS registrar Dr Girish Saini said, “A fair and impartial inquiry will be conducted into the allegations made in the memorandum within a week.”
