Lucknow: Six people were injured after a truck rammed into a tractor-trolley carrying 28 pilgrims on NH-27 near Makhwapur in Ayodhya’s Rudauli Kotwali area early Wednesday morning, police said.The accident occurred around 6 am when the tractor-trolley, with men, women and kids from Lakhimpur Kheri, was on its way to Ayodhya for darshan and was hit from behind by a DCM truck. The impact caused the tractor-trolley to overturn.Tractor driver Vikas Verma (27) was among those injured.Police and PRV-112 personnel, with the assistance of locals, pulled passengers trapped inside the overturned vehicle and shifted them to Community Health Centre (CHC) in Rudauli.According to police outpost in charge Yuvraj Singh, six people sustained serious injuries and were referred to the district hospital for advanced treatment.Police deployed cranes and a JCB machine to remove the vehicles and clear the road.
