Police told the Rajendranagar court that during the custody of Rohit and Ritesh, their bank transactions were verified. “Several suspicious financial transactions were noticed with Kedar, Shirish, Kaushik Ravi, Arjun Reddy and others, who were identified as organisers or participants of drug parties along with Rohit and Ritesh,” police said in their petition, while also mentioning that “notably, an amount of 25 lakh was transferred by Ritesh to the late Kedar.“According to police, the financial transaction took place during the 2024-2025 financial year prior to Kedar’s death. “On further questioning about the 25 lakh transfer to Kedar, Ritesh and Rohit evaded the queries without offering any satisfactory clarification,” an investigator said.Kedar was named as one of the accused in a cocaine bust case registered at the Gachibowli police station on Feb 26, 2024, following a raid on two rooms of a star hotel. About a year later, Kedar died in sleep at his Dubai apartment in Feb 2025. Both Rohit and Ritesh are currently in judicial remand at the Chanchalguda prison.
