Seven held in Jaunpur for MLM job fraud

Varanasi: Line bazaar police in Jaunpur district on Tuesday arrested seven members of a gang, including its kingpin, for running a fraudulent multi-level marketing and pyramid chain network that cheated unemployed youths of lakhs of rupees, promising them jobs worth Rs 25,000 per month. Police also rescued around 30 trainee men and women who had come in search of employment.The action was taken under the direction of Jaunpur SSP Kunwar Anupam Singh.According to police, the accused were operating a fake company named MS EARTH Enterprises and running an MLM network in the name of Royal Health Wellness Pvt Ltd. Unemployed youths from Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and other states were called to Varanasi for interviews with the promise of jobs offering monthly salaries of Rs 25,000.They collected Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 per person as joining or registration fees and provided low-value kits worth around Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000, containing clothes, oil and soap. During training, the youth were pressured to bring in three new people each. Thosewho failed to do so were threatened with seizure of money deposited by them.Police said transactions worth around Rs 34 crore were found in the Union Bank account of company operator Rahul Rajbhar.A case has been registered at Line bazaar police station under Sections 318(4), 140(2), 308(5), 351(3) and 3(5) of the BNS.Those arrested were identified as Rahul Rajbhar, Arvind Rajbhar, both residents of Varanasi, Santosh Kumar Patel of Banda, Havaldar Pal, Pradeep Pal, both residents of Sultanpur, Chandan Dohre of Kannauj and Tiros Rajbhar, of Jaunpur .The police recovered 11 mobile phones,a luxury vehicle, two motorcycles, and several important corporate documents.
