Panaji: A domestic cat died after a senior citizen allegedly beat it to death with a wooden stick. Porvorim police registered a first information report (FIR) against the accused.DySP Nilesh Rane, PRO, Goa police said the FIR is registered based on a complaint filed by a woman residing in Socorro.Rane said that on Friday at around 10.40 am, at Zoswadoo Soccoro, the accused allegedly beat the complainant’s pet cat cruelly with a wooden stick, resulting in its death.Further investigation is in progress under PSI Sachin Shirodkar.
