Hyderabad: School education department on Thursday introduced an ‘Online Private School Complaint Monitoring System (PSCMS)’ to enable parents, students and the public to register grievances against private schools and track their status.The facility, available through the school education department website, was intended to provide an accessible mechanism for bringing complaints to the notice of competent authorities.Complainants could log in using their mobile number, authenticate through an OTP and submit their grievance through the portal. They can subsequently track the complaint using their phone number or grievance ID. The tracking mechanism displays details, including the grievance ID, name, phone number, user type, grievance type, complaint details, remarks, uploaded documents and status.Director of school education E Naveen Nicolas said: “The online mechanism is aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and timely monitoring of complaints concerning private schools. Parents have been encouraged to use the facility to register genuine grievances with the department.”The department has also asked stakeholders to provide complete and accurate information while submitting complaints so they could be examined and appropriate action taken by the competent authorities.
