GURGAON: An entrepreneur has bought a penthouse at DLF’s The Dahlias in Gurgaon for Rs 271 crore, in one of India’s most expensive single-unit apartment deals.DLF said the transaction is among the country’s costliest residential deals on a per-square-foot basis.“The penthouse has a 17,200 sq feet super area and 10,500 sq feet carpet area, translating to about Rs 1.6 lakh/sq foot on super area and nearly Rs 2.6 lakh /sq foot on carpet area,” it said.The penthouse was bought by entrepreneur Manav Sardana, who was associated with Imperial Auto, an automotive components company that was acquired by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus.Sardana belongs to the Sardana family, a Delhi-NCR business group with a legacy spanning more than 100 years.The family is best known for Imperial Auto Industries, which was co-founded in 1969 by Sardana’s father, SB Sardana, and Jagjit Singh.In December 2024, entrepreneur Rishi Parti bought a 16,290 sq-feet penthouse at The Camellias in Gurgaon for Rs 190 crore.The deal worked out to around Rs 1.8 lakh per sq foot.
