Noida: RWAs met Noida Authority officials over pending repair works of roads, drains, sewers, parks, water and power. The RWA general secretary of Sector 51, blocks C to F, also submitted a request to the CEO to stop various commercial activities like paying guest accommodations, hotels, guest houses, banquet halls, offices, nursing homes and schools running out of rented accommodations.The RWA general secretary, Sanjeev Kumar, told the officials that commercial activities like hotels and guest houses are raising a security risk. He said with so many such institutions popping up, it has become impossible for the security guards at the gates to keep track of visitors coming into the sectors.A delegation under Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations met senior Authority officials, including general managers AK Arora and RP Singh, horticulture director Anand Mohan Singh, at the federation office in Sector 52. The RWA federation’s secretary general, KK Jain, emphasised the need for prompt resolutions to the urgent problems facing the community.In another meeting, members of District Development Residents Welfare Association held a meeting with Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh and submitted a 22-point memorandum highlighting key issues such as immediate repairs of damaged roads and cleaning the drains, ensuring potable drinking water supply, halting unauthorised commercial activities in residential sectors, introducing public bus services, establishing a Grievance and Vigilance Cell, shifting overhead power lines and improving road engineering.Other issues raised included converting leasehold properties to freehold status, the importance of fire safety measures in community halls, the installation of large display boards outlining dog policy regulations, and the provision of drinking water facilities in parks.Both meetings underscored a commitment from the Noida Authority to address the community’s concerns, with assurances that pending works, like road repairs, will commence within this month.Both meetings underscored a commitment from the Noida Authority to address the community’s concerns, with assurances that pending works, like road repairs, will commence within this month.
