Panaji: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for Goa on Sunday, forecasting isolated light showers and thundershowers across the state.According to the IMD advisory, rain activity is likely to develop during the late afternoon to evening hours. No severe weather warnings have been issued, indicating that conditions are expected to remain mild and localised.The brief spell of rain is expected to be followed by a stretch of stable weather. From April 20 through April 23, the IMD has forecast dry and mainly sunny conditions across the state, with no alerts or warnings in place.Recent observational data from Panaji and Mormugao indicate near-normal temperatures for this time of year. On April 17, Panaji recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6°C, marginally above normal, while Mormugao registered 34°C, slightly abopve average.Minimum temperatures remained close to seasonal norms in both locations.Humidity levels showed some variation, with Panaji recording relatively lower humidity compared to normal, while Mormugao experienced higher-than-usual moisture levels.
