Chandigarh: Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Tuesday met Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss key infrastructure projects and road connectivity in the state.According to a Punjab BJP spokesperson, Dhillon thanked the Centre and Gadkari for the ongoing national highway and other infrastructure projects in Punjab. He said the Centre was working to strengthen the state’s road network through large-scale investments.Gadkari said the Centre was developing a network of modern highways and expressways under the Bharatmala Project, including the Jamnagar-Amritsar Economic Corridor, which will connect Punjab with major commercial centres in Rajasthan and Gujarat.He said the projects would improve connectivity while giving a boost to industry, trade, employment and economic growth in Punjab.
