Chandigarh: Panjab University (PU) has integrated its online fee payment portal with students’ fee due and collection records, making it mandatory for all existing as well as newly-admitted students to pay their course fees through the new system. The move follows the portal’s integration with the university’s student fee database.According to a circular issued by the assistant registrar (accounts-II), the university has directed all teaching departments to ensure that students use the online portal for fee payments, with the information available on the portal to be treated as the authentic record for fee-related transactions.The circular states that the system has been introduced to streamline the fee payment process for students while also facilitating fee verification and record maintenance by departmental officials. Departments have also been instructed to process students’ details and fee deposits through the integrated portal.To assist users, the university has circulated a step-by-step navigation guide explaining the payment process. Students are required to visit the PU website, access the “online tuition and course fee” option under the Students menu, select their department, enter their admission number and validate their details.
