Gandhinagar: Eight probationary IAS officers from the 2025 batch who have been assigned the Gujarat cadre, met chief minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Monday.The officers, having completed their foundation course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, have been appointed as assistant collectors in the Gujarat cadre. They have been assigned to Banaskantha, Bharuch, Amreli, Kutch, Panchmahal, Valsad, Rajkot, and Mahisagar for their 52-week district training, an official statement said.The CM extended his best wishes to the probationary officers, asking them to serve with a commitment to the welfare of the common man and the underprivileged.The statement added that during the next 52 weeks, the officers will receive training on various subjects such as public health and nutrition, one district-one product, social and financial inclusion, good governance, law and order, and management. The officers are undergoing a four-week institutional training at SPIPA in Ahmedabad, which is set to conclude on May 26.
