Gorakhpur: The body of a 32-year-old man was found floating in a drain near Banjari bridge in Motiram Adda area under Jhangha police limits on Monday morning. Family members alleged that some miscreants killed him before dumping his body in the drain.The deceased was identified as Lal Bahadur Nishad, a resident of Avadhpur Daroga Ji Chhawani in Chauri Chaura area.According to police, few morning walkers first spotted the body around 5.30am and alerted the police. Police reached the scene and, with the help of locals, recovered the body from the drain.Police said no visible injury marks were found on the body. However, the body has been sent for postmortem.SP North Gyanendra Kumar said the cause of death would be clear only after the postmortem report. He added that police are investigating the case from all possible angles.
