Shimla: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Shimla on Monday for a five-day visit to Himachal Pradesh and was accorded a warm welcome at the Kalyani Helipad in Chharabra. Governor Kavinder Gupta and chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu received the President and extended greetings on behalf of the people of the hill state. Several dignitaries, including Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, rural development and panchayati raj minister Anirudh Singh — designated as the minister-in-waiting for the visit, Shimla MP Suresh Kumar Kashyap, and other senior officers from the Army, police and administration, were also present on the occasion.MSID:: 130554138 413 |
