Hyderabad: The state govt on Tuesday extended the Prajavani public grievance programme to the mandal level, enabling citizens to submit petitions in their own mandals instead of travelling to district headquarters. As per a GO issued by the planning department, mandal-level Prajavani will be held every Monday from 10 am to 1 pm at mandal parishad development officer (MPDO) offices with immediate effect. The MPDO will serve as the nodal officer for the programme. The expansion follows the introduction of Prajavani at the revenue division level in May. The govt said the decentralised system is intended to improve transparency, accountability and responsiveness in public service delivery. All petitions received during the weekly hearings will be registered through the unified Prajavani portal, which is already operational at the state, district and revenue division levels. The portal allows online registration, tracking and monitoring of grievances while ensuring uniform procedures across the system.
