New Delhi: Delhi Police probing the robbery-cum-murder of a 69-year-old woman in Jangpura has obtained CCTV footage showing a suspect fleeing towards a nearby drain after the crime.Sources said the suspect was seen running towards the drain after 4 am Friday. Before that, he was captured on CCTV crossing a nearby park. Investigators suspect he may have fled towards the BRT corridor or Sunlight Colony.Police have questioned several people who visited the colony or the victim’s house in the past 10-15 days, including two carpenters and a car cleaner. The movements of others who may have had access to the area are also being verified.Investigators found no signs of forced entry. A police source, when asked whether the accused may have gained entry through an unlocked door, said, “The woman routinely unlocked her door around 3 am to light diyas. Police teams suspect the robber conducted reconnaissance for a couple of days and noticed this routine. When he came to commit the robbery, he may have found the door unlocked and slipped inside.”CCTV footage shows the suspect entering the lane around 3.15 am.
