Hyderabad: The city police conducted a cordon and search operation at Mangar Basti in Habeeb Nagar on Wednesday. More than 1,000 personnel from various wings, including HFAST, the CCS, the Task Force, and the Armed Reserve, participated in the operation.During the drive, 15 persons were taken into custody for violating the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Furthermore, 50 other suspects allegedly involved in property offences were also taken into custody for questioning. Officials seized 150 sachets of ganja, 32 bottles of cough syrup, and one kg of dry ganja from those apprehended.According to the police, the operation identified property offenders, chain snatchers, habitual offenders, and persons with pending Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs).
