PM Modi to inaugurate Pachpadra Refinery, launch Jaipur Metro Phase-2 on July 4

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district on July 4 to inaugurate the much-awaited Pachpadra Refinery and lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase 2. Besides these flagship projects, the PM will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development works across the state and distribute appointment letters to newly selected govt employees.The work order for the metro corridor connecting Prahladpura to Pinjrapole Gaushala has already been issued at a cost of more than Rs 13,000 crore. Sharma said the metro expansion project would help ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and boost urban development in Jaipur.Preparations for the PM’s visit were reviewed on Wednesday by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma during a meeting at the chief minister’s residence. Sharma directed officials to ensure that the event is organised on a grand scale and that people from across Rajasthan are connected virtually with the main programme at Pachpadra.The CM said special events should be held in all districts so that youth receiving appointment letters, public representatives and citizens can participate virtually on the occasion. He instructed officials to organise programmes from the gram panchayat to district level to maximise public participation and showcase the state’s progress in development and employment generation.Highlighting the significance of the Pachpadra Refinery project, Sharma said it would play a major role in accelerating Rajasthan’s industrial development, investment promotion and creating employment opportunities. He directed authorities to complete all preparations related to the inauguration on schedule and ensure strict adherence to security protocols within the refinery premises.The CM also emphasised the need for foolproof arrangements at the venue, including visitor seating, drinking water facilities, parking management, traffic regulation and security measures. He instructed refinery management to undertake an extensive plantation drive as part of the event, linking the occasion with environmental conservation.Sharma further called for awareness campaigns on fuel conservation and energy efficiency across the state and directed officials to ensure participation of refinery workers in the celebrations.
